Juneteenth
The other day, I saw a challenge to row 1900 meters on Juneteenth. This challenge was created by fitness equipment manufacture, Concept2. After reading about the challenge and being a fan of indoor rowing as a method of cross-training, I was prompted to do my own little fundraiser with the proceeds being donated to a local organization that mission is to bring awareness and education regarding race inequality. The local charity chosen is 904Ward, "a diverse group made up of people committed to creating a community of inclusion for all of Jacksonville, FL’s residents."
I will be rowing 19,000 meters that day which I believe will take me somewhere around 100 minutes or 1:40:00 to complete. As part of this effort, I am looking for people to make a donation of a little as $1.90 or $.0001 per meter rowed.
